Guide Me Through With Words
One player walks a course of cushions blindfolded while the other steers with nothing but words. It is quiet, slow and surprisingly hard for the one doing the talking.
What you need
- A scarf as a blindfold
- 5 cushions and cardboard boxes
- An open patch of floor
How to play
- Lay five cushions and boxes across the floor as soft obstacles, nothing sharp or heavy.
- Tie a scarf loosely over the walker's eyes and stay beside them the whole time.
- Steer with words only — two small steps forward, turn a little left, stop.
- Walk slowly, because this game is about listening rather than speed.
- Say stop the moment a hand or foot comes anywhere near the furniture.
- Swap places and let your child guide you through the same course.
