Squiggle Swap

Indoor games
  • 3–8 years
  • 15 min
  • at home

One person scribbles a random line, the other turns it into a picture. The sillier the squiggle, the better the drawing that comes out of it.

What you need

  • Paper
  • Pencils or felt tips

How to play

  1. Draw one loose squiggle on a sheet of paper without lifting the pencil.
  2. Pass the sheet to your child and let them turn the squiggle into something real.
  3. Ask what it became and add one detail together.
  4. Swap over: your child draws the next squiggle for you.
  5. Line the finished drawings up on the table and pick the strangest one.
