Word Chain
Every new word has to start with the letter the last one ended on: cat, tiger, rabbit, tortoise. Nothing to hold and nothing to spill, so it works in a car or in a long queue.
What you need
- Nothing to carry
- A category everyone agrees on
How to play
- Agree on a category first: animals, food or towns.
- Say the opening word and stretch the last letter out so everybody hears it.
- Let the next player answer with a word starting on that letter.
- Give a stuck player a hint instead of a penalty.
- Ban words that have already been said and keep the chain moving.
- Start a fresh chain in a new category when it stalls.
