A House Out of a Big Box
A delivery box becomes a house with a door, a window and a letter box. The adult does all the cutting, your child does the planning and the decorating.
What you need
- A large cardboard box
- A pencil
- Scissors or a knife for the adult
- Crayons
- Tape
How to play
- Let your child draw the door and the window on the box wherever they want them.
- Cut along the pencil lines yourself — this part is for the adult only.
- Fold the door and the shutters outwards so they open and close.
- Let your child colour the walls and draw a roof line along the top.
- Tape a folded strip of cardboard above the door as a letter box.
- Move a cushion in and try the house out.
