Paper Clue Trail
Six written clues lead from one hiding place to the next and end at a biscuit in the back of a cupboard. Writing the trail is half the fun, and the child usually wants to write the next one.
What you need
- A sheet of paper cut into slips
- A pen
- A small treat from the cupboard
How to play
- Choose the final hiding place first — a biscuit in a mug at the back of a cupboard.
- Work backwards and write six clues, each describing where the next one waits.
- Turn the clues into riddles or rhymes for older children.
- Put every clue in its spot and keep the first one in your pocket.
- Hand over the first clue and let the hunt run without any hints.
- Let your child write the next trail for you and follow it yourself.
