Higher or Lower
One player thinks of a number between one and a hundred and only ever answers higher or lower. Halving what is left each time gets there in about seven guesses.
What you need
- Nothing to carry
- Fingers to count the guesses
How to play
- Think of a number between one and a hundred and keep it to yourself.
- Let the others call out a number they think it might be.
- Answer only higher or lower, never warm or cold.
- Count the guesses on your fingers and try to stay under seven.
- Show your child the trick of always guessing halfway.
- Swap over and let your child hold the secret number.
