Paint the Snow With Coloured Water
Fill a few small bottles with tinted water and fresh snow becomes a canvas that soaks up every line. Mixing two colours on the snow works far better than mixing them in a jar.
What you need
- Small plastic bottles with narrow caps
- Water
- Food colouring, or strong tea and beetroot juice
- Fresh untouched snow
How to play
- Fill three bottles with cold water and tint each one a different colour.
- Screw the caps on and shake the bottles until the colour is even.
- Find a patch of untouched snow and squeeze out the first line.
- Draw a big shape and let your child fill it in with a second colour.
- Squeeze two colours over each other and watch what appears where they meet.
- Rinse the bottles at home so they are ready for the next snowy day.
