Ten Tricks Against the Wall
A ball and a blank wall are enough for a game that gets harder every round: throw, clap, spin, catch. Your child invents the next trick and you have to copy it exactly.
What you need
- A ball that bounces
- A blank wall with nothing breakable nearby
- Chalk (optional)
How to play
- Find a blank wall with no windows and stand about three steps away from it.
- Throw the ball at the wall and catch it after one bounce — that is trick one.
- Add a clap before the catch for trick two, and a spin for trick three.
- Take turns and start again from trick one whenever someone drops the ball.
- Let your child invent tricks four and five, then try to copy them exactly.
- Chalk a line on the ground and step back one foot after every clean round.
