Marble Maze in a Box Lid
A box lid, cardboard strips and tape make a board the marble has to cross without falling into a hole. The difficulty is adjusted while you play.
What you need
- A box lid or a shallow box
- Cardboard from another box
- Safe scissors
- Tape
- A marble or a small ball
How to play
- Cut strips of cardboard about as tall as your thumb.
- Tape the strips inside the lid as walls, leaving gaps to drive through.
- Cut two or three holes in the base as traps.
- Mark the start and the finish with a pencil.
- Drop the marble in and tilt the lid to steer it along the corridors.
- Move the walls until the maze is hard but still possible.
- Time each other and write the record on the side of the box.
