Creatures From an Egg Carton
An egg carton turned upside down is a ready-made caterpillar back. Three cups, two antennae and a pair of eyes, and a whole brood moves onto the table.
What you need
- An empty egg carton
- Safe scissors
- Felt-tip pens
- Tape
- Strips of paper
How to play
- Cut the carton into rows of two, three and four cups — the adult cuts.
- Turn a row over so the cups become a bumpy back.
- Let your child colour the back with felt-tip pens.
- Poke two holes at the front with a pencil and push paper strips in as antennae.
- Tape on paper circles for eyes.
- Line the creatures up and decide which one is the fastest.
