Fingerprint Zoo
A fingertip is the only stamp you need: press a dot, add legs with a pencil, and it is a beetle. A thumb makes a bear, a little finger makes a mouse.
What you need
- Paints you already have
- A saucer or an old plate
- Paper
- A pencil
- A damp cloth
How to play
- Squeeze two or three blobs of paint onto a saucer.
- Press a fingertip into the paint and stamp a row of dots across the paper.
- Turn the dots into animals with a pencil: legs, ears, tails and whiskers.
- Use a thumb for big bodies and a little finger for small heads.
- Wipe hands on the damp cloth before starting the next colour.
- Leave the zoo to dry flat and count how many animals live there.
