The Squiggle Game
One person draws a meaningless squiggle, the other has to turn it into something real. It needs nothing but a notebook and a pencil, so it works in a car, on a train or in a long queue.
What you need
- A notebook or any paper
- A pencil or a pen
How to play
- Draw a quick, meaningless squiggle and pass the notebook over.
- Ask your child to add lines until the squiggle becomes an animal, a machine or a face.
- Let them give the drawing a name and a short story.
- Swap roles, so the next squiggle is yours to finish.
- Save the hardest squiggles for the way back.
