Magazine Collage Creature
Old magazines become an animal that has never existed: a bird's eye, a car wheel for a belly, a spoon for a leg. The pile of paper by the door is finally useful.
What you need
- Old magazines or catalogues
- Safe scissors
- Tape
- A sheet of paper
- A pencil
How to play
- Tear out any pages with big, colourful pictures.
- Let your child cut out whatever they like: eyes, wheels, flowers, shoes.
- Lay the pieces on the paper and slide them around until a creature appears.
- Tape the pieces down one at a time, starting with the body.
- Draw the missing parts with a pencil — legs, whiskers, a tail.
- Give the creature a name and decide where it lives.
