Kitchen foil holds any shape you bend it into, so a giraffe takes about two minutes and needs no glue, no drying and no clean-up. The hard part is making it stand up on its own.

What you need

  • Kitchen foil
  • A tray or shelf to stand the animals on

How to play

  1. Tear off a piece of foil about as long as your arm for each animal.
  2. Squeeze the middle of the piece hard to make a body and leave both ends loose.
  3. Twist the loose ends into legs, a neck, a tail or wings.
  4. Pinch the head thin and bend it so the animal is looking at something.
  5. Stand the animal up and tuck a small ball of foil under any leg that wobbles.
  6. Line the whole menagerie up on a shelf and see which one is tallest.
