A Fleet of Paper Boats
Six folds turn a sheet of paper into a boat, and a washing-up bowl into a sea. Boats that sink still count as research.
What you need
- Sheets of paper
- A bowl or bathtub of water
- Pencils for decorating
How to play
- Fold a sheet in half, then in half again, and open the second fold.
- Fold the two top corners down to the middle line.
- Fold the bottom strips up on both sides.
- Pull the sides apart, press the shape flat into a square and fold the corners up again.
- Open the boat out and let your child draw a flag on the side.
- Launch the fleet and blow gently to make wind.
