Paper Plane Flight Contest
Five folds and the plane is ready — and then the engineering starts: bend a wing tip, add a paper clip to the nose and find out whether it flies further.
What you need
- Sheets of A4 paper
- A coin to mark landings
- Paper clips
How to play
- Fold a sheet in half lengthways and open it out again.
- Fold the two top corners in to the centre crease.
- Fold the long slanted edges in to the same crease once more.
- Fold the whole plane in half and turn down a wing on each side.
- Mark a throwing line on the floor with a shoe.
- Throw each plane three times and mark its best landing with a coin.
- Change one thing on the next plane and test whether it beats the record.
