Paper Ring Garland
Strips of paper, a loop of tape, and the chain grows until it crosses the whole room. A three-year-old can hold each ring while you tape it, and the links are easy to count along the way.
What you need
- Old paper or magazine pages
- Safe scissors
- Tape or a glue stick
How to play
- Cut the paper into strips about two fingers wide — for younger children the adult cuts.
- Tape the ends of one strip together to make a ring.
- Thread the next strip through that ring and tape it closed too.
- Keep adding rings and let your child decide the order of the colours.
- Hang the finished chain across a doorway or along a shelf.
