Your Heart Before and After
Two fingers on the wrist and a watch turn the heart into something you can count. Your child sees the number jump after a minute of jumping and slowly settle back down.
What you need
- Watch or phone showing seconds
- Paper and pencil
How to play
- Sit quietly together for one minute.
- Show your child how to press two fingers on the wrist below the thumb.
- Count the beats for fifteen seconds and write the number down.
- Jump, run on the spot or dance for one minute.
- Count the beats again straight away and compare the two numbers.
- Sit still and count once a minute until the heart is calm again.
