
No-Bake Oat and Raisin Balls
Oats, honey and cocoa kneaded by hand and rolled into little balls. No oven and no knives, and a sweet snack is ready in half an hour.
What you need
- Rolled oats
- Honey or jam
- Cocoa powder
- Raisins
- Softened butter
- A big bowl
- Coconut flakes or extra cocoa for coating
How to play
- Tip the oats, cocoa and raisins into a big bowl and let your child stir it all together.
- Add the soft butter and honey and knead with clean hands until the mixture holds its shape.
- If it crumbles, add a spoonful of honey; if it sticks, add more oats.
- Let your child roll walnut-sized balls between their palms.
- Coat each ball in coconut flakes or cocoa on a small plate.
- Put the balls in the fridge for fifteen minutes while you tidy the table, then taste them together.
