Paper Plane Fold-Off
Three planes folded from identical sheets fly completely differently, and a strip of tape on the floor turns the argument into data. Your child measures, records and then improves the winner.
What you need
- Six sheets of paper
- Sticky tape
- Pencil and notepad
How to play
- Fold three planes from the same paper: a narrow dart, a wide glider and one with a blunt nose.
- Stick a strip of tape on the floor as a throwing line.
- Throw each plane three times, always from behind the line.
- Mark each landing spot and measure the distance in steps.
- Write all nine results in a table and circle the best one.
- Bend the back edges of the winner's wings up a little and throw it again to see what changed.
- Decide together which shape flies furthest and which one stays in the air longest.
