A Meadow Printed With a Fork
The back of a fork prints four parallel lines at once, and four lines are grass, feathers or hedgehog spikes depending on which way you turn them. Dragging the fork through wet paint gives you waves.
What you need
- A metal fork
- Paints you already have
- A flat plate
- Paper
How to play
- Pour a little paint onto a flat plate and spread it thin with the fork.
- Press the back of the fork into the paint and stamp it onto the paper.
- Look at the four lines and decide whether they are grass, feathers or hedgehog spikes.
- Drag the fork through the wet paint to comb long wavy lines for water.
- Add a sun with a fingertip and leave the meadow to dry flat.
- Wash the fork straight away so it can go back in the drawer.
